Asking questions

Wellness

This is my first draft of the letter. Its not very good, and its really short.

This is my fianl draft of the letter, its a lot better.

I like to learn new things. I really like to learn about health. So this makes wellness one of my favorite classes. Our most recent unit, was about drugs. Both prescription and the bad ones. Such as heroin, and marijuana. We also talked about tobacco. Tobacco is really bad for your health, and it can really harm your lungs. And it is really bad after a long period of time. But I wanted to learn more about these things. So I asked a lot of questions.

We took a lot of notes. This was for extra study practice. Mr. Harding would make power points. These had a lot of information on them. And what we would do, is take notes on the important information, so that we could use it to study.

We also used the internet to research. This was sort of helpful, but I liked the power points a lot more. The information was already on the power point, so it was a lot easier to find information.

We also watched videos and could take notes on it. The videos where really helpful, because they were visual and had images to prove what they were saying. I am more of a visual learner, so this was really helpful.

My fist artifact is the first draft of the letter to ourselves. This was a project where we had to write to our 10th grade self’s. The letter had to tell us to not do drugs or tobacco. When we are in 10th grade, we will continue this project. Back to 8th grade, we added to the letter every so often. Every time we learned something new, we would put it in our letter. By the end of the project, my letter was really long. We will get into that in a moment, this is my first draft. Notice how it doesn’t have that much information in it. That is because that is what I did on the first day that we worked on it.

This is the final draft of the letter. It has a lot of information, and is not very cohesive. So, it doesn’t flow very well. But it still flows a little ok. This is how I added the information. Every time that we learned something new, and we worked on the project, I would make a new paragraph about what we learned. I tried to include as much as possible. That is probably the main reason that the letter doesn’t flow really well.
